news and weather on Japanese television, as has done
countless voice overs and narration in Canada nad
Japan.

Brenda Olson graduated in 2005 from the Canadian Acupressure College in Victoria, with a specialty in Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure. She started her practice on Gabriola Island and in Nanaimo in April 2006.

Spend a day learning about Laughter Yoga, meditation, and more. The course includes a short introduction to Laughter Yoga, Laughter Yoga excercises and short meditations and visualizations that will be practiced throughout the day. We will be making puppets from receycled paper products and paper mache, and Mandala art as a process of fulfilling desires. There will also be a short talk on Ayurveda and the care of your skin, including a vegetable facial according to your skin type. For those wanting to experience a deeper level of meditation, Primordial Sound mantra meditation will be offered during a second day so that you experience the mantra meditation and come back the next day for questions concerning the meditation and talk about higher states of consciousness.

Sandra Lee Aldis is a long time Gabriola Island resident, who continues to find joy in creating puppets, music and stories and working with children and adults to express their creativity through that medium. She iscertified through the Deepak Chopra Center for Mind/Body medicine as an instructor for Primordial Sound Meditation and received a Chartered Herbalist Certification through Dominion Herbal College in Vancouver, including Levels I&II Bach Flower Remedies. She has also taken courses in Ayurveda through Deepak Chopra Center and holds a B.A. from Malaspina University-college. She hasI have been working with Artist's in the School Programme since 1994.

Instructor: Leah Hokanson

Sight-singing is the ability to interpret musical notation on sight, like reading a book. Learn the fundamentals of reading music in a fun, engaging atmosphere with other singing enthusiasts.

Leah Hokanson has been a piano instructor to all ages and ability levels for over twenty years. She holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from Whitworth College and Washington State University respectively. She served as a teaching assistant I piano pedagogy at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, while she was a candidate for Doctor of Musical Arts. She has taught both private and group lessons and has a keen sensitivity to the individual needs of students. She believes that knowing the language of music can enrich all our lives, not just those with "talent".
